In the episode titled "Possessed by Darkness: Crimes Blamed on Demonic Influence," we delve into several chilling cases where individuals attributed their criminal actions to demonic possession:

Arne Cheyenne Johnson ("The Devil Made Me Do It" Case): In 1981, Johnson was convicted of manslaughter after killing his landlord, Alan Bono. He claimed demonic possession as his defense, stating that a demon from a young boy he had tried to help exorcise had entered him, compelling him to commit the crime. This case was the first known in the U.S. where such a defense was used.

Michael Taylor: In 1974, Michael Taylor from Ossett, England, was involved in a Christian Fellowship Group. After undergoing an intense exorcism, he brutally murdered his wife, Christine, claiming he had been possessed by demonic forces. Taylor was found not guilty by reason of insanity and was committed to a psychiatric hospital.

David Berkowitz ("Son of Sam"): Between 1976 and 1977, Berkowitz terrorized New York City, killing six people and wounding seven others. Upon his arrest, he claimed that his neighbor's dog was possessed by a demon that commanded him to kill. He later admitted this story was fabricated. CREDIT "music by Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio
