Welcome back, agents! In today’s video, I’m bringing you an absolute MONSTER of a hybrid build — something that’s tailor-made for the brand-new Battle for Brooklyn DLC in The Division 2. We're talking maximum damage, top-tier utility, and the kind of skill synergy that will have your enemies deleted before they can react.

This is the Caretaker X Build, powered by the Precision Smart Cover, built around 6 Skill Tiers with Striker’s Battlegear, and enhanced with Assault Link and crazy passive modifiers. Whether you're running solo, helping your squad, or grinding heroic missions — this setup goes hard in every scenario.

🧠 Why This Build Is a Game-Changer

With the Battle for Brooklyn expansion, we now have access to game-altering global and active modifiers, new skills, and enhanced build diversity. The Caretaker X hybrid takes full advantage of all that.

Most builds force you to choose between raw damage or skill power — but not this one. You’ll be stacking crit damage, weapon buffs, and cooldown resets all at once.

This build proves that you can run 6 yellow cores and STILL be a DPS threat on par with red-core glass cannon builds.

🔫 Core Weapon Loadout

🟠 Primary: Named G36 – Caretaker

Talent: Perfect Killer – Killing an enemy with a critical hit grants +90% critical hit damage for 10 seconds.

Paired with Striker’s Gamble and Smart Cover, you’ll be critting like crazy and maintaining this buff almost 100% of the time.

High rate of fire + easy recoil control = perfect synergy with Smart Cover bonuses.

🟣 Secondary: Exotic LMG – Bluescreen

Talent: Disrupt the Rounds

Mark enemies to build up to 50 stacks.

Use a skill (non-shield) to trigger a powerful AoE effect.

Doubles as crowd control and skill refresh engine

Perfect complement to your cooldown loop with BTSU gloves and Restorer Hive.

🟦 Striker’s Battlegear (4 pieces + backpack)

2 Pieces: +15% Weapon Handling

3 Pieces: +15% Rate of Fire

4 Pieces: Striker’s Gamble

Weapon hits increase total weapon damage by 0.65% per stack

Up to 100 stacks, with gradual decay

Backpack Talent – Risk Management:

Increases damage per stack to 0.90%

At 100 stacks, that’s +90% total weapon damage

🟧 Chest Piece: Empress International

1-Piece Bonus: +10% Skill Health

Talent: Empathic Resolve

Healing allies grants them +3–15% weapon and skill damage

Grants +1–7% to yourself, scaling with Skill Tier

This talent adds teamwide buffs on every Hive detonation or repair — essential in higher-level content.

🟨 Gloves: Exotic BTSU Datagloves

Talent: Transference Overclock

+15% Skill Haste per Skill Tier

Detonating a Hive resets skill cooldowns and grants Overcharge for 15 seconds

At Tier 6, this applies to all allies nearby

This is the reset button of your entire build — use your Hive, detonate, and your Smart Cover is back instantly.

These scale up to Tier 5 and give massive bonuses:

Firearms: +2–10% Crit Chance (bypasses crit cap), Tier 5 = Ammo refill

Stamina: Bonus Armor every 300K damage taken, Tier 5 = Armor Kit Refill

Electronics: Cooldown reduction per skill used, Tier 5 = Instant Cooldown Reset

You level these by killing enemies marked with hostile countermeasures.

🟠 Active Modifier: Assault Link

Sets Firearms to Tier 5 for 25 seconds

+5% Weapon Damage per non-red core

Bonuses multiplied x4, passives x2

Extends duration by 3 seconds per nearby ally

60-second cooldown

This modifier lets you erase enemies with burst crits while keeping uptime with BTSU resets and skill detonation loops.
