Repentance… years ago, I was trying to teach my daughter of the importance of saying she was sorry for something she had done. That was a hard principle for her.

I made her sit on a chair and think about it and after an hour she cried and said, "I’m sorry, mom." She never had any trouble ever again, saying she was sorry.

As parents, when our children do something wrong, It is important that we teach them to go through the repentance process. It is like having a sore and it hurts and makes us sad because we know we have done wrong. Repentance can help us when we have made a mistake. It is a way of cleansing and healing a spiritual hurt, and if done right, feeling better when it’s all done. Just like that sore.
