Makes 18 squares

Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter
¼ cup canned milk
One pinch of kosher salt
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup maple syrup
½ cup peanut butter
¼ cup coconut
¾ cup oatmeal, old fashioned
¼ cup trail mix
¼ cup flax seed, ground
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup chocolate chips, melted
1 ½ tsp shortening

Directions:
1. In a medium-low 200-degree Fahrenheit skillet add butter and stir to melt and begin to bubble and lightly brown.
2. Add milk, salt, sugar, syrup, and peanut butter and stir until it bubbles for 1 minute and 15 seconds. The mixture will thicken as it sets with the cookies.
3. Turn off the heat and add coconut, oatmeal, and ground flax seeds and let it cool for about 3 minutes before adding the trail mix.
5. Pat into a buttered baking dish, cool to set in the refrigerator for 1 hour,
6. In a small bowl, melt chocolate chips with shortening in the microwave for 15 seconds. Take out and stir to smooth and finish melting the chips.
7. Take the squares out of the refrigerator and immediately drizzle melted chocolate chip sauce over the top. Return to refrigerator to set the chocolate topping
8. Take out and cut into 9 squares, then cut those into halves to make 18 squares.
