Buckshot Jones is a former NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series driver whose racing career was from 1992-2004. He mostly drove for his father's race team Buckshot Racing, though he also spent time driving for teams such as Petty Enterprises, Stavola Brothers Racing and Michael Waltrip Racing.
Jones peak years were from 1996-1998. During this time period he would score his only two Xfinity Series victories and the only Cup Series top 10 finish of his career. As well as his only two top 10 Xfinity Series points finishes of his career. Even winning the Xfinity Series Most Popular Driver award in 1998.
In 2001 he ran a full season in the Nascar Cup Series behind the wheel of the #44 for Petty Enterprises. Though the season was a complete let down for both the Petty's and Jones. He made the final Cup Series start of his career in 2003 at Talladega, where Buckshot had the best run of his Cup Series career, even leading 19 laps, before an accident ended his race.
