Clifford Allison is a former stock car driver, who competed from 1983-1992. He made starts in the Xfinity Series, ARCA Supercar Series and the All Pro Series as well as running the short track circuit in the Limited Sportsman Division and the Late Model Division. Clifford is the son of NASCAR legend and 1983 NASCAR Cup Series champion Bobby Allison. His brother is the late Davey Allison and his Uncle is 10 Cup Series winner Donnie Allison. He was just getting his racing career going really when he lost his life in a practice session prior to the Detroit Gasket 200 at Michigan International Speedway in the summer of 1992. When his safety restraints failed to work properly when his racecar impacted the wall.
