Team SABCO is a former NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series race team who competed from 1989-2000. Originally formed when Felix Sabates bought an R&D team from Rick Hendrick. Several notable drivers spent time driving one of the teams race cars, including Kyle Petty, Kenny Wallace, Sterling Marlin, Wally Dallenbach Jr, Joe Nemechek, Kenny Irwin Jr and Ted Musgrave among others.

Finding the most success with Petty behind the wheel of their #42 entry. Together they won 6 races and finished inside the top 5 in points twice in 1992 and 1993. Also finding victory lane in 1999 with Joe Nemechek scoring his first career Cup Series victory at Loudon. Kenny Irwin Jr took over the #42 ride at the beginning of the 2000 season. Sadly he would lose his life in the car during practice for the thatlook.com 300 held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. At the conclusion of the 2000 season Sabates sold 80% owner stake in the company. Changing the teams name tho Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates.
