In 1979 Cal Wells founded Precision Products Incorporated, at first they were a off road racing parts supplier. Eventually they got there own off road team going in the 1980s. In 1995, Wells started a CART series team from '95-'00, the team scored 1 victory coming in 2000. Also in 2000, Wells officially started his run in NASCAR with Scott Pruett behind the wheel of the teams #32 Tide Ford. They did initially try to start up a second team, a #96 McDonald's Ford with Andy Houston behind the wheel. After several DNQ's, McDonald's pulled there sponsorship after race 28 in Kansas, and they went back to a one car operation. In 2001 Ricky Craven became the driver in the #32 and even won the team's first career NASCAR Cup Series victory at Martinsville. In 2003, Craven and Kurt Busch battled side by side across the start/finish line with Craven winning the race by the slimmest margin in NASCAR history, .002. After a couple very long difficult seasons, the team shut down following the conclusion of the 2006 NASCAR Cup Series season. Overall they scored 3 poles and 2 victories and a best points finish of 15th in 2002 with Ricky Craven.
