Stavola Brothers Racing is a former Nascar Cup Series team who competed from 1984-1998. Several notable drivers spent time behind the wheel of one of the team's racecars such as Bobby Hillin, Bobby Allison, Dick Trickle, Sterling Marlin, Jeff Burton, Hut Stricklin and Morgan Shepherd. The only two drivers that were able to find victory lane were Hillin and Allison, Allison even won the 1988 Daytona 500. At almost the halfway point in the '88 season Allison suffered life threatening and career ending injury at Pocono.
Mike Alexander took over for Allison for the rest of the 1988 season. Then Alexander was injured in the Snowball Derby right before the 1989 Cup Series season began. He made 1 start and was replaced by Dick Trickle for the 1989 Cup Series season. Trickle had a solid season, even becoming the oldest driver to win ROTY honors at age 48. Slowly the team would regress little by little each season. By 1998 they would make their final start with Morgan Shepherd behind the wheel of a#8 Nokia Chevrolet in the season finale in Atlanta.
