David Pearson and Wood Brothers Racing competed together from 1972-1979 in the Nascar Cup Series. Winning dozens of races, 43 to be exact while not even running the full schedule. Several notable races including the Daytona 500, the Coca-Cola 600, the Southern 500 and the Talladega 500. In 1974, even though they ran 11 fewer races than the other championship contenders, they finished an impressive 3rd in final Cup Series point standings.
In 1979 after 5 starts, Pearson and the Wood Brothers parted ways.
