Morgan Shepherd is a retired race car driver who made starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Craftsman Truck Series, ARCA Series and the local short tracks of the southeast. Spending time behind the wheel of some notable owners racecars such as Kenny Bernstein, Bud Moore, The Wood Brothers and Butch Mock among a ton of others throughout his decades long career. In fact Shepherd had one of the longest careers in NASCAR history competing from 1970-2019.

Finding a way to get the most out of his equipment in anything he raced, winning 4 times in the Nascar Cup Series, 15 Xfinity Series and 19 (that I can find documented) Sportsman Series races. Also winning the 1980 NASCAR Sportsman Series championship. The Sportsman Series would eventually become the Xfinity Series. Another accolade that Shepherd has on his resume is the oldest driver at the age of 72 to make a NASCAR Cup Series start at Loudon, New Hampshire in 2014.
