North Carolina businessman L.G. DeWitt was a Nascar Cup Series team owner who's raceteam competed from 1965-1980. A few solid drivers served as the team's primary drivers, such as Benny Parsons, John Sears and Joe Millikan. DeWitt's team scored all their 12 victories, as well as the 1973 Nascar Cup Series championship. This all with a team that didn't have near the money of other top teams.

Travis Carter and Jake Elder both would serve as the teams crew chief during the height of there success. Parsons left the team at the conclusion of the 1978 season, having rookie Joe Millikan take over the ride starting in 1979. After a pretty solid rookie year, in 1980 they lost their sponsor and with skyrocketing costs due to the fact the series was going through a major change to the Cup Series car. DeWitt was forced to closed down his team permanently.
