This covers Sterling Marlin's unorthodox attempt to fix his wrinkled in right front fender during a red flag condition in the very late stages of 2002 Daytona 500. Marlin's #40 Dodge was fast all throughout speedweeks. Unfortunately racing back to the start/finish line, Jeff Gordon came down the track to block Marlin. Though the #40 Dodge was already underneath Gordon, leading to him spinning and cause the damage on Marlin's #40.
