Nord Krauskopf was a former Nascar Cup Series team owner who's team competed from 1966-1977. Several notable drivers made starts for the raceteam, including Buddy Baker, Bobby Allison, Dave Marcis and Neil Bonnett. Though Bobby Issac was the driver who Krauskopf would find the most success on the racetrack with.
Starting as a part-time entry its first couple seasons, by 1968 the team settled on Issac as their full-time driver. Over the next several seasons Issac would win dozens of race and the 1970 Nascar Cup Series championship. In the fall of the 1972 season Issac left the team. Buddy Baker would take over the ride from thr 1973 season, winning the World 600 at Charlotte in the spring. They would only make a few starts in 1974. Dave Marcis took over the #71 full-time for 1975 and '76, winning 4 races and finishing 2nd in 1975 point standings.
Krauskopf made the decision that he was no longer going to fund this raceteam in 1977. Neil Bonnett took over the reigns of the #71 for the '77 season, only making 11 starts. With Krauskopf selling his entire operation to J.D. Stacy following the 1977 World 600.
