Walter Ballard is a former NASCAR Cup Series owner and driver who competed from 19661978, and the team he owned remained active until the conclusion of the 1980 season. Ballard Racing was the name of his #30 team and the only two drivers to drive for the team on a fulltime basis were Walter Ballard and Tighe Scott. A few other drivers made select starts for the team over the years. They never won a race or a pole, but had scored 7 top 5s and 57 top 10s, with a best points finish 6th in 1972.
