This video is very long, as the light failed/broke while I was doing the review. So your seeing it happen as It's happening, and I investigate.
This review is disheartening. I liked the flashlight, the beam pattern was nice, sharp in both narrow and wide stream. It's light, runs off a 2aa battery, and its a good looking flashlight at first. Early on, I noted that the zoom function was difficult to move, and sounded horrible, like sand stuck in the mechanism, as well as noted something loose near the LED circuit board. At first I thought it was a wire. I decided to remove the front section of the lens, which was on very tight, which made me dislocate my left index finger in 2 places. That was how much force and leverage was needed to open the front end of the light. It turns out the flaw in this flashlight, is the black reflector section is screwed in in the same orientation as the focusing system. So when you zoom to a focused beam, the inner section loosens, and allows the trim/mask around the LED to become loose and move around in the housing. That explains the negative comments on Amazon and other review sites about blurry, misaligned, and foggy lighting out put. In the end, the plastic trim/mask around the led has melted on the LED itself, making a not cheap flashlight, useless. It's a shame, I liked this light, the beam pattern was really nice and crisp, till it wasn't. I'm hoping Speras will look into this issue, and fix it, It is a really nice flashlight till you start to use the zoom/focus function.
