Tonight we take a first look at the NiteCore NWL30, the literal sun in a box. If you watch the video, you will understand why. So this "lantern", I don't think this is the proper word for this box that holds a small star in it. Its bright! I know what your thinking, 3000 Lumens is not crazy bright, it's about what modern LED headlamps in the US are limited too. However, a headlamp of a car is a wide beam pattern, this is not. This is a narrow, intense beam of light, with only a mild widening of the beam. Plus, this has an 18000mAh battery that has a USB C input, for charging, while both Type C and Type A can be used as output at the same time. On top of that is a red and red flash function at 25 lumens, and a bug/mosquito repellent that has a low 11ft range, or the high 16 foot range. Downside, it does not come with any repellent pads.
