In preparation for the upcoming release of "Mafia: The Old Country" for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, I've decided to do a "Let's Play!: Classic" gaming livestream walkthrough of the much older "Mafia: Definitive Edition", but this time, on PC.
"Mafia: Definitive Edition" from 2K Games and Hangar 13. Originally released and remastered in 2020 to much more stellar reviews based mostly on improved production values, and completely given an overhaul from the original "Mafia" game from the 2000s. beautifully rendered in-game cutscenes yielding breathtaking results as you will get to take in.
Mafia: Definitive Edition takes place in Lost Heaven, a fictionalized version of Chicago, Illinois in the early 1930's, the birth of Italian, organized crime and the Great Depression where Tommy Angelo, a former cab driver who in a chance encounter, ends up mixed-up with the Salieri crime family led by Don Ennio Salieri. However, Angelo's life of crime comes to an unexpected halt when he's on the run from the same crime family that took care of him, but the lives of him and his family are in serious jeopardy. Angelo feels he has no other choice but to offer and cut a deal with an up-and-coming Irish detective in exchange for the safety of his family.
