On June 17, 2026 Universal Studios Hollywood implemented a new security screening process where all guests visiting CityWalk, Universal Cinema, and the theme park must enter security PRIOR to entering CityWalk.
Two new security screening areas have been added and all previous entry points have been closed off.
Frankenstein Parking, Front Gate, and guests walking over the bridge from the hotel properties will use the existing Globe entry screening.
Guests using the Lankershim tram and those parking in Preferred, and Jurassic Parking will use the new security screening checkpoint near NBC Sports Grill.
Guests parking in Curious George and E.T. garages, along with Rideshare Drop Off, will use the new screening area where the former iFLY location used to be next to Margaritaville.
Again, all guests will pass through security before entering CityWalk. Guests can now enter and exit the park to visit CityWalk without then having to go through security again.
