THE RESURRECTION UNLEASHED, DEATH COULDN'T HOLD THEM.

Every resurrection in the Bible reveals God's power over death and points toward Jesus Christ. From Elijah and Elisha to the miracles of Jesus, the dead keep rising—and each resurrection reveals another piece of a much greater story.

*RESURRECTION: AGAIN AND AGAIN — FROM DEATH TO LIFE | PART 1

One day, your heart will beat for the last time.

One day, you will take a final breath.

But according to Scripture, that will not be the end of your story.

Scattered across thousands of years of biblical history is an extraordinary trail: a widow holding her dead son, another mother watching the child God promised her die in her arms, a corpse unexpectedly thrown into a prophet's grave—and finally, a desperate father falling at the feet of Jesus because his little daughter is dying.

These are not disconnected miracles.

They are pieces of one enormous story.

In Part 1, we begin with the first recorded resurrection in Scripture: Elijah and the widow of Zarephath's son.

Then another child dies.

Elisha enters a closed room where the Shunammite woman's promised son lies motionless—and once again, death is forced to surrender its victim.

Then something even stranger happens.

Elisha himself is dead and buried when another dead man's body touches his bones.

The man immediately stands up alive.

Again.

And again.

And again.

God demonstrates His authority over death.

But there is a problem.

Every person brought back eventually dies again.

Something is still missing.

Centuries pass.

Prophets come and go. Empires rise and fall. Generations disappear into their graves.

Then Jesus Christ appears.

And when Jesus begins confronting death, something changes.

Part 1 ends as Jairus desperately begs Jesus to hurry to his home because his 12-year-old daughter is dying.

But Jesus is interrupted.

Time is running out.

And the message Jairus fears most is coming.

PART 2 CONTINUES THE STORY.

We will follow Jesus into the house of Jairus, encounter another funeral procession, stand outside the tomb of Lazarus—and continue toward the resurrection that changes everything.

Because these resurrections are taking us somewhere.

From Elijah.

To Elisha.

To Jesus Christ.

From temporary restoration...

to a life death can never take away.

And ultimately, this story is not only about them.

It is about you.
