Join us for Part 2 of our Georgia adventure as we explore the charming and historic town of Fort Gaines! Our first stop is the incredible Fort Gaines Historic Site, where we were greeted by the most unexpected and friendly residents—a clowder of adorable cats! We'll explore the well-preserved old buildings there while enjoying the absolutely breathtaking views of the Chattahoochee River.

After stepping back in time, we head to the massive Walter F. George Reservoir, Lock, and Dam to see a modern marvel of engineering and check out a nearby boat launch for all the water enthusiasts.

We end our day settling into our perfect home base at the beautiful and serene Cotton Hill COE Campground, right on the shores of the lake. It's the ideal spot to relax after a day of history and exploration.
