Big Lips Matter, is a throwback while moving forward, giving an ode to an era while at the same time, championing evolution through elevated lyrical expression.

Duro Wicks, a.k.a, deeyouareoh is a Chicago Hip Hop Pioneer, who is well known in the culture and community.

He created a platform in the 90s for the underground MCs at Lower Links, Estelle's, and Double Door, respectfully.

Also, an integral part the staff at ' Fly Paper', an underground periodical, documenting, featuring, and interviewing local artists. Within, his segment ' Please Listen To My Demo's, he reviewed and critiqued many styles of rap.

Duro Wicks dropped a unique mixtape with DJ Sean Doe, and earlier music as the second half of He Who Walks Three Ways. He engages with history in the Midwest Hip Hop Documentary and entertains and educates about a seldom explored hobby in 'Black Action Figures'.

Influenced by The Native Tongues, New Wave, Soul, and Boom Bap, his sound is upbeat, drum heavy, soulful, and gripping.

WYCH HAZLE started as an MC on the Northside Chicago Underground Hip Hop scene, sparsely performing at Lower Links, Double Door, and other venues while pursuing his B.A. in English and Philosophy at WIU.

There he formed SLANGBANGBOOGIE a crew of progressive urban thinkers and unorthodox, social justice oriented bar smiths.

After impatience and frustration with not being able to be fully immersed in his craft, he moved to NY where he ended up at NKIRU BOOKS, owned by Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey, as an open mic host and Program Coordinator.

Experiencing the presence and ideas of many great black thinkers and authors his composition and lyrical direction took a more concept based turn.

After moving to Tucson, AZ , attending Mystery School and learning Oriental Medicine he took on the task of creating an alternative Hip Hop score for Frances Causey's powerful documentaries IS YOUR STORY MAKING YOU SICK? and THE LONG SHADOW. BANGING ON KEYS, a conceptual, bar heavy, mixtape with AREA 13, a crew of highly skilled artists out of Phoenix, AZ is also available on SOUNDCLOUD. A stew of unprecedented styles, subject matters, and beats.
