487. Exploring S and SW of Kamloops Area, Aug 7, 2024

I had to change my original plan to fly to Salmon Arm area due to heavy smoke form the surrounding forest fires. I stayed S and SW of Kamloops which had very decent air to go through. It was interesting to go from no wind take off to 50 km/h (31 mph) west wind just 1372 m (4500 ft) higher. This wind direction changed from W to E in about 300 m (~1000 ft) elevation difference. This is a typical Kamloops, where many weather predicting rules don’t apply.

It was different plan but loaded with the same amount of fun. Kamloops area diversity is very interesting view from the air.
