I took advantage of ideal flying conditions to explore the region. My route included Cherry Creek, Tobiano, Savona, Walhachin, and continued on to Cache Creek and Ashcroft. It was a beautiful and fascinating flight through highly variable flying conditions — ranging from completely calm to wild and turbulent. I had to change my flight plan twice because of the shifting weather. I explored Mt. Martin area, where the weather was intense, and then flew to the Paul Lake region, which featured stunning scattered clouds that created captivating scenery and video footage.

The original plan was much more ambitious. I intended to fly the entire length over Adams Lake. However, serious haze over the mountainous terrain forced me to turn back. The eastern leg was especially risky, with direct sunlight in my face and a dense, smoke-like haze reducing visibility.
