The flight into the intriguing geological formations of the Walhachin area was nothing short of spectacular. Initially, the sky was completely gray, but it suddenly cleared around the airport, signaling the perfect opportunity to take to the skies. While the journey began with a few bumps, the conditions eventually became manageable.
I navigated cautiously, keeping a watchful eye on the intimidating bands of clouds flanking both sides of Kamloops Lake, determined to avoid being drawn into them. On the way back, rain appeared on one side, prompting me to cross north of the lake to steer clear of potential danger—and to protect my fully exposed cameras. All in all, it was a remarkable day of flying.
