A short stop at the sunny Merritt airport, after a cold flight from Kamloops (Video #514), gave me a chance to warm up before continuing my journey. The first leg took me over the city, offering a view of its layout and features. I then passed over the small village of Lower Nicola and followed the route to Mamit Lake, nestled in a spectacular valley. Flying over the small village of Long Lake, I crossed the recreational areas of Paska and Face Lakes. The features and buildings were still well hidden under the snow. Heading toward Greenstone Mountain for a flyover and exploration, I encountered sudden and unexpected heavy turbulence, which prompted me to keep my distance. Overall, the entire Kamloops-Merritt-Kamloops trip was 182 km (113 mi) of pure excitement. This is part 2 of 2. My flight to Merritt is featured in Video #514.
