After two weeks of beautiful—but unflyable—weather, I finally got lucky. The forecast was still not very convincing, but I felt it in my bones: this was the moment. And I was right.
It was the first time in my life experiencing such a complex, multi-layered sky. My original plan was to embark on a cross-country flight, but once I gained sufficient altitude, I saw the towering, heavy clouds guarding the horizon like gatekeepers. I decided to stay local—and it turned out to be a fantastic flight.
The camera footage is spectacular, especially when viewed on a large screen.
