Our latest conversation ponders the "meaning of life" and what it truly means to answer the question, "who am i." We discuss the process of "self-reflection" and how our "personal identity" is shaped by the stories we're told, encouraging a deeper "reflection" on these narratives. This discussion aims to foster "self-improvement" by examining how past experiences influence our present understanding of ourselves.

We explore the meaning of life, reflecting on identity beyond personal narratives. We question the stories we carry, offering a fresh perspective on who we are. Our work delves into therapy and life coaching, helping people find joy and creativity.

[20:47-21:19]

Yeah. But he- here's s- here's where, uh, because I, I am curious about the meaning of life always, and, uh, like, uh, the older I get, the more I'm looking back and reflecting on, uh, what things meant and w- who I am and h- what, what, what is this? And w- if I base my identity off of stories I've been told and I've been carrying around and they turn out not to be true, that makes me question even more who I am and I'm un- my I become more uncertain about my own ride on this crazy ride.

[21:19-21:42]

Does that make any sense? Yeah. I, I, and I think, um, you know, like I was talking earlier about that bigger perspective, the big electron or the transcendent version. It's like, you know, beyond our stories and our ego, who are we? Right. You know, that's the really bigger question, is, yeah, we are just an amalgamation of stories.

[21:42-22:09]

And, you know, part of what, like, going to therapy is about or even the life coaching I do is, uh, is helping people kind of see the stories they tell themselves about their life and are they productive? Do they help them be more creative and generative and joyful or, you know, do they stop them in some way? You know, we all have really, really inaccurate versions of who we think we are, you know, whether it's imposter syndrome or the inner critic or all that kind of stuff.
