A discussion among four speakers addresses climate change, emphasizing the roles of natural events and advocating for solutions like renewable energy.

[85:26-85:38]

The speakers acknowledge climate change as a significant problem while discussing the need to care for the environment.

we can stop putting plastic in the ocean so the fish don't have to choke on it and die. And- Well, that's not gonna- And- That's not gonna stop climate change. And climate change is a big problem. It's just that- But it's an ecosystem.

[85:45-85:56]

The participants emphasize the importance of making life habitable, taking care of the environment for future generations.

But our job is to take care of it. Um, and we have to take care of it so that we make this life habitable for us, um, from now on.

[86:10-86:48]

The speakers propose harnessing solar power from space to eliminate fossil fuels and achieve net-zero emissions.

Our job is to make sure that if we wanna be around for a long time to come, then we figure out how to deal with really big climate change. And one step is to harvest solar power in space and beam it down to Earth using the same kind of harmless microwaves that your, um, cellphone uses. And using solar energy, I mean, really big time solar energy, not just the solar energy we can generate on acres of land, um, we can eliminate the use of fossil fuels altogether, and we can reach net 0.
