Do you have any weird process things that seem really strange to somebody who doesn't know? I get what she's saying though, because I will do, there's this little trick that's called you put T dot K dot because it's, it's easily found when you do a search. So if I lose my train of thought, I'll put TK or if I want to come back to that.
[49:20-50:11]
So that's the closest I can think, but to leave gaps like that is, is I mean, that's her process for me. Oh my goodness. i don't know at night when i go to bed i will tell myself stories about my own story like i'll try to relive it like a movie in my mind especially if i'm trying to work on a new scene and i'll recreate or create the scene in my head and it's like telling myself a story it's the only quirky thing i can think of i listen to chris stapleton when i write and so i've associated chris stapleton with writing Well, that's interesting because I feel like I can't listen to any music with vocals on it when I'm trying to write anything because then all of a sudden I'm writing the lyrics out.
[50:11-50:32]
Wait, what did I just type? That's interesting. It's practice. It's again, it's a routine. And I started out by listening to a song, Maggie's song, which is about his dog. And then I fell in love with his voice. So I kept listening and then I started to associate his music with this book.
[50:32-50:53]
And so the next book I'm working on- it seems to be Laney Wilson. that's in my ear. The next book you're working on. you want to give us a teaser. Do you want the title? Yes, must love rescue dogs. oh yeah, it's a meet cute in the dog park.
[50:53-51:27]
yeah, um, you think, because again we're thinking about going. i'm thinking what the dog could just seem like so great, and i i the idea that any of them might not make it out of there is just heartbreaking. So I'm going to go there and I'm going to want to take them all. But I think somehow you can fool yourself into that love infatuation with a dog. Oh, look at him, And then get them home and just have all sorts of problems with them. That's the problem I'm having with thinking about the shelter dog.
[51:27-52:01]
How do you guard against just having too open a heart and just? you know, I want to take them all home. I am not the person to give you advice on that, because last week I went to the. it's called the SPCA here It's an acronym I don't know- Ontario SPCA- And I went to discuss the book and maybe some fundraising. Wasn't there a puppy there? And it was the last puppy of the litter that had just come in from up north And she called it a dream litter, Like they were the most amazing puppies.
