first of all, the idea that you can be schizophrenic and not show any signs of it is a scary, scary thought. Uh, is that common? That people can, uh, w- uh, somebody with schizophrenia can, can hide that or not even notice it themselves or, or your, your spouse wouldn't notice it? Uh, is that a common thing?

He, he knew. He, he told me. So he, he called me just before he, he took his life, um, and he shared with me then that there were, that he heard voices in his head.

But, um, somehow he was able to Well, he wasn't able to manage it. But he was able to fake it. He faked it really well, and, you know, I think the bipolar disorder, really, that's, that's the, the behavior that I saw.

That's, uh, that's what I was gonna ask you. Are they necessarily Or is it necessarily, uh, 2 different things? Or could it just be one and y- it looks like the other? Like, uh, can schizophrenia look like bipolar disorder? Yeah, so my understanding of it is that when there's bipolar, it's a specific form of schizophrenia that, that shows up differently than when it's schizophrenia alone.

And, um, I, you know, I, I don't treat mental illness, so I don't know exactly how it shows up. But definitely, you know, the bipolar symptoms were the ones that we saw. So either he was in bed for days, or we might not see him for a couple of days if he was, if he was going through a manic episode.
