the girl, the attendant, comes out and she's got Lucas in her arms And she's like: do you want to hold him? I'm like yes, but no, Yeah. So I did and I have a photo and he just melted into me, like he just, and it was like, oh So I sat with that for a while, took some photos, I gave him back, I got in the car and I called my husband. Do you think maybe like?

[52:29-52:53]

actually I didn't even ask him, I just kind of was putting feelers out there like, oh yeah, I just held this really cute puppy. he's really well behaved and he just needs a home for a little while and he's like nope, because he knows. right, I have. we have 2 dogs and my mom's dog as well. so I cannot give you advice: don't go if don't go if you're feeling vulnerable, do not go to the shelter.

[52:53-53:17]

Well, I think I'm going to be. I don't know. I don't see how She was, and GD said: well, you say that about every dog you've ever had. She was the best puppy ever, And it's just like it's a really tough separation. And for what it was worth, she was having kidney failure. She was in the last stages of kidney failure, But she did not look like she was suffering.

[53:17-53:44]

She didn't look like she was ready to be put down or any of that stuff. It's just a, And I didn't have to make that decision. It's my stepdaughter's dog, but I've spent more time with that dog than just about anybody. And it's just like I'd go to visit her, look her in the face and say: I'm sorry, I can't, I'm not making the decision here, And I was just: wow, man, it's just so tough. It is tough, you know, and I want to ask you a question, both of you, Ron, do you have a?

[53:44-54:19]

no, you don't have your dog. You don't have a dog right now, but it's a question for both of you, though. if, like when, you lose a dog, do you, how do i say it? so a lot of people will say: no, i'm never getting a dog again, i never want to put myself through that again, and i say, and i used to be like that too, but i would always get a dog anyways, why wouldn't you want to go through the love again? like? i know it's a short time frame of love with a dog, but why wouldn't you want to give another dog that kind of love?

[54:19-54:51]

that's how i see it now. What's your opinion on that? Definitely, It was what the eleven and a half years up until she got sick. I would take those. They definitely outweigh the, because it was really quick. I mean by the time when the vet diagnosed. it was 6 weeks ago. so it was, and he was saying she could live up to a year, she could live 2 months or whatever, but she's not going to get better, and that was heartbreaking.

[54:51-55:07]

but i up until that time i was still playing with it. i was she was still and always she would sleep, put her head on my chest and look me in the face once you went to sleep, like i mean you don't get a better.
