Why would spirits wanna hang around? I think that there are really 3 reasons that spirits wanna hang around. Um, uh, 1, I, I think that they do have unfinished business. I mean, we've all heard that term. But I do think that there is a, a, a real sense of unfinished business, or I'm waiting for somebody. And, and I'll s- I'll say that because of this experience. Um, I had a dream one night. My grandfather, my grandfather died in 1986, and I had a dream that he came to me and he said, uh, "I'm waiting for your nana. You're gonna be getting a call soon." A week after that, my nana was in an accident.
[38:24-38:48]
She fell and broke her leg. She had an operation, and she ended up getting MRSA and never really recovered. And so, when she pa- uh, sh- we put her into hospice, and she was, she was mumbling about the fact that she had seen Granddaddy and that she was ready to go meet him. So she ended up passing, and with the permission from my family, uh, about 2 hours after she passed, I went to the location where the dream was, which was in the house.
[38:48-39:08]
It was this ver- very specific office. So I went to that location, and we took our K2 meters. The power had been turned off 'cause she had been in the hospice, and, uh, there was So we took our K2 meters, and I asked if Nana and Granddaddy were there, and we got positive responses, what we feel is positive responses. Our K2s were going off. And so, to me, that was an, uh, an example of, of unfinished business.
[39:08-39:30]
So to, to go back to your question, I think that there is unfinished business. The second one is, I think that they may be afraid of whatever comes next, of any repercussions. Whether or not you believe in a heaven or a hell, if they feel that what they've done on Earth is, uh, is gonna lead them to hell, they may not feel, uh, you know, like that's the place they wanna go. Yeah.
[39:30-39:49]
Uh, you know? Uh, a lot of the- a lot of the communications that we've had with, um, with spirits in jails or prisons, I believe that's one of the reasons that they stay. They just don't wanna see what's next. And then the third is, I think that they may be stuck, and they, they don't know where to go or how to go about moving or ascending to the next level.
[39:49-40:10]
Um, and the reason I say that is because we went to the Hales Bar Dam in Tennessee, and there were, uh, reports of Uh, it, it's a series of dams, and the, the, the tunnel under the dam went under the river, so these kids would use it as a way to get from one side of the river to the next to get to school. And, um, at some point, there was an accident, and a couple of the kids ended up being killed.
[40:11-40:35]
So when we went to, uh, and did our investigation at Hales Bar, we were sitting there, and we heard some noises. So we said, you know, "Why are you still here? Why haven't you moved on?" And very clearly, we get a child's voice saying, "I can't. I'm stuck." And, you know, to me, it was very compelling and one of the most heart-wrenching EVPs that we've captured, because, you know, I do think that for some reason he can't find his way, he can't m- move on or transcend to that next level.
[40:35-40:42]
So, to answer your question, I think those are the 3 reasons. Either they're scared, they're waiting for something else, or, uh, they just can't find their way. Okay.
