The speaker explains that physical activity can free the mind, leading to a relaxed state where creative ideas can emerge and be productive.

I think that there's something to it. I think that when you're physically occupied with a task like that, th- you feel like, "Okay, I'm doing something. I'm being productive." And then you can sort of relax a little bit and sort of release your brain from this, like, stranglehold. And then your brain your, your sort of mind is free to just sort of spin out. And the, um And good comes from that, you know? That's where, that's where ideas come from.

[25:31-26:24]

The speaker discusses EMDR therapy as a method to process trauma by distracting the brain, allowing for easier digestion and moving past difficult experiences.

Um, and th- And l- When I was, like, trying to do EMDR, one of the things that I learned, too, is that, um, the where PTS- and, and this is a theory, but fucking everything's a theory. Um, you know, PTSD comes from basically the, um, unprocessed trauma. Um, and then, you know, when, uh, somebody goes back to try and revisit it, the it sort of triggers them again. But, um, EMDR distracts you withUm, al- sounds on alternating sides, uh, you know, a sound in one ear, a sound in the other ear, or a moving light or something like that to distract your brain from re-experiencing the trauma at, like, full volume. Um, and then that way you can sort of process it and digest it, you know, you know, that you can put it behind you.
